Solution:
Wilcox Energy installed a new oil-fired Buderus boiler with 6 zones. This new system consisted of an Amtrol indirect water heater, a Riello oil burner, and zone valves with IFC circulators. I met my serviceman Kurtis for the first time this morning in the driveway and he explained exactly what he was going do as he took out his equipment. I took him to the basement to see the furnace and then showed him the tank . He noticed that tank is old and had rust spots. He then inspected it more carefully, showed me many rusty areas , looked underneath it and took many pictures of the outside of it . He said he was a little concerned about it and wanted to present the details to the tank department at Wilcox. We talked how important it was to be proactive, as I certainly do not want to ever run the risk of having a tank leak in my home and then figure out what to do about it. I was very pleased with his willingness to give me his feedback and all the information as he went about his work, and I felt very confident that he was certainly an excellent well informed service man.
